Labelling of vegetable oils and fats

In accordance with EU law, the following elements must appear on food labelling: energy value, the amounts of fat, saturates (SAFA), carbohydrate, sugars, protein and salt. Content in mono-unsaturates (MUFA), polyunsaturates (PUFA) or vitamins can also be included in the label. This helps consumers understand the content contained in each bottle of oil and any food product placed on the EU market.
